Week Seven Game of the Week Nominees

LITHIA SPRINGS, GA -- Douglas County at Lithia Springs netted 65.2 percent of the vote for 11Alive and Atlanta.HighSchoolSports.net's Game of the Week.

It is the Tigers versus the Lions. Douglas County, 3-3, travels to Lithia Springs in a Region 5-4A South battle. Lithia Springs has a 4-1 record, but overall records do not mean much when it comes to the postseason; in the playoff race, region records are what count. Douglas County is 2-1 in the region and Lithia Springs is 1-1.

Lithia Springs is coming off of their first loss of the season; South Paulding beat the Lions 35-0. Douglas County is trying to win back-to-back games for the first time this year.

With 33.6 percent of the Game of the Week vote, Dutchtown at Union Grove is another big region matchup. Griffin, Dutchtown, and Union Grove are all undefeated in Region 3-4A Division A. This game should help bust things open.
