COBB COUNTY, GA -- Due to the overwhelming success of the first prescription drug take-back event, Keep Cobb Beautiful and Kaiser Permanente of Georgia are offering another Medication Disposal Program for the public.

The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cobb County Government Offices at Powder Springs Station (1150 Powder Springs Road, Marietta, 30064).

This is the perfect opportunity for Cobb County residents to safely dispose of their outdated or unused over-the-counter or prescription medications. Law enforcement officials will be on hand to collect medications and properly dispose of them in compliance with federal law.

Accepted items include:

* Liquid and pill form medications
* Sharps and needles
* Diabetes materials
* Catheters
* Tubing

No durable medical equipment, such as CPAP machines or nebulizers, will be accepted.

For more information on the take-back, visit the Keep Cobb Beautiful event page.
