Volunteers Work to Improve Home of Fallen Officer's Widow
News

AUSTELL, Ga. - Volunteers and crews from The Home Depot are pitching into to help improve the home a fallen police officer's widow.

Crews gathered at the home of Faith Norman Thursday. They began work on the home's exterior and interior. The crews were working to remove handicap accessible features of the home that were no longer needed.

The handicap features were added after Freddie Norman was hit head-on by a drunk teen driver in 1989. He was in his patrol car at the time of the wreck, responding to an emergency.

The wreck left Norman a quadriplegic. He died in February 2009 as a result of his injuries.
