Flourish Luncheon to honor local arts leaders

KENNESAW, Ga. -- Kennesaw State University will hold its 4th annual Flourish Luncheon this week to honor and recognize arts leaders in the community.

During the luncheon, the university's College of the Arts will present this year's Flourish Awards. Launched in 2005, the awards are presented in four categories.

The 2011 winners include:

* Arts Leader
Robert J. Farley, founder and artistic director
Georgia Ensemble Theatre & Conservatory, Roswell

* Arts Educator
Jennie Collier-Johnston, art instructor
Hillgrove High School, Powder Springs

* Community/Public Service
William Pinto, president
Hardin Construction Company, Atlanta (Vinings)

* Arts Organization
The Georgia Ballet, Marietta

The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Ballroom of the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. Awards will be presented at approximately 12:30 p.m.
