(WXIA) -- CNNMoney has unveiled its 2013 list of the Best Places to Live in the U.S.

Two metro Atlanta towns -- Suwanee in Gwinnett County and Peachtree City in Fayette County -- made the list of 50. But other locations had much lower housing prices.

Two more Atlanta suburbs made another CNNMoney list: the 25 towns where homes are most affordable.

At No. 4, Powder Springs offers homes for a median price of $85,000.

According to CNNMoney:

Families love Powder Springs's charming downtown and pleasant quality of life. They also appreciate its reasonable real estate prices: Three-bedroom homes are on the market here for $75,000 or less.

Another big draw is McEachern High School, which used to be a college campus. The school is supported by a large endowment, according to city manager Brad Hulsey. "People really want their kids to attend," he said.

The very next town on the list is also in metro Atlanta. Lilburn comes in at No. 5.

According to CNNMoney:

Lilburn's population is just over 12,000, but its Hindu temple, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, attracts a quarter million visitors a year, according to Lilburn mayor Johnny Crist. The 75-foot tall, white marble building was constructed after members of the community went to city leaders and asked if a temple could be built, he said.

The South Asian community in Lilburn is large and growing -- it now accounts for 10% or more of the population.

Lilburn also boasts a fine school system, safe streets and proximity to Atlanta. Throw in affordable housing -- a well-maintained three-bedroom ranch can cost $125,000 -- and you have a formula for success. Lilburn has more than tripled its population in the past 30 years.
