AUSTELL, Ga. -- Six Flags Over Georgia will open its gates early for a good cause this Sunday.

The Southeast's largest regional theme park is teaming up with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to host "A Walk in the Park," a family-friendly morning of raising money and making a difference.

Registration for the 3K walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 12, with the walk scheduled to start at 8:30. All proceeds raised will stay in the community to help save and improve the lives of children treated in Atlanta.

Participants who raise at least $50 will receive a free ticket to enjoy the park and its many attractions, including the new Dare Devil Dive roller coaster.
