DALLAS, Ga. -- Jason and Claire Estopinal are Gold Star parents whose 21-year-old son, Marine Pfc. Jason H. Estopinal, was killed in combat in Afghanistan in 2010.

"We needed a smile," Jason Estopinal said. "We haven't smiled in a while, and this has made us smile."

He's talking about his shiny new Georgia Lottery prize -- a 2012 Jeep Wrangler his wife won by playing the instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure.

Lottery representatives presented the Estopinals with the keys to their new Jeep at Chuck Clancy Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Cartersville on Friday.

Claire Estopinal purchased the lucky ticket at the Kroger on Brownsville Road in Powder Springs from the instant ticket vending machine. She scratched it in the car.

"I got it out of the machine. I just guessed," she said.

In addition to their new Jeep, the Estopinals received $25,000 to customize it.

The couple, whose other son is preparing for college, celebrated their 24th anniversary last month.
