AUSTELL, Ga. -- Six Flags Over Georgia received its most positive guest feedback ever in 2012, the theme park announced Monday.

The park gathered guest data, including compliments and complaints, through both paper and online surveys.

"While we have always been known for our safe and thrilling environment, we were excited about guests' reaction to our heightened focus on providing a unique and fun-filled day at the park," Six Flags Over Georgia president Dale Kaetzel said in a statement. "We will continue taking our offerings up another notch in 2013 and expect guests will be pleasantly surprised."

Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell is currently open for its 2013 season. Six Flags White Water in Marietta will open May 18.
